RALLY

"Sometimes the act of resistance doesn’t have to be loud or bold, it just has to be."

The current situation developing in Ukraine can feel overwhelming at times, people are understandably worried and unsure as to how they can help at a personal level, so we've collected the most effective options according to Ukrainian outlets and broken it down for you, listed in order of priority/effectiveness.

  1. DONATE.
  2. Ukraine urgently needs medical and military supplies, your donation is crucial in supporting their continued defence. We note three charities below, more can be found on our charities page with details of each.

    UKRAINE CRISIS APPEAL
    RETURN ALIVE UKRAINE
    GLOBAL GIVING: UKRAINE CRISIS FUND

  3. CONTACT YOUR LOCAL, STATE AND/OR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT REPRESENTATIVE.
  4. By letting your government know they cannot ignore the atrocities being committed in Ukraine, you can pressure them into acting at a level no one person can individually.

Governments are able to provide unprecedented levels of aid through sanctioning, financial support, military/medical supplies, etc.

You can find your government member below or on your government's website:

    AUS: Parliament of Australia
    UK: UK Parliament
    NZ: New Zealand Government
    US: USA Government

  5. JOIN PRO-UKRAINE RALLIES AND DEMONSTRATIONS IN YOUR REGION.
  6. Your presence in a large body of people under one cause sends a clear message to your government, that they must act on as your representatives. These rallies are often organised as Facebook events, we suggest searching Facebook for events under the 'Ukraine' keyword near you.

  7. SHARE THIS SITE AND UKRAINIAN NEWS COMING OUT OF THE REGION FROM OUTLETS SUCH AS THE KYIV INDEPENDENT.
  8. By spreading the word you can amplify your effect, every extra person that understands the conflict potentially becomes one more person next to you at a rally, one more medical kit in the hands of a Ukrainian soldier, one more refugee given safe passage.

  9. CONTACT REPRESENTATIVES OF THE FIVE CO-FINANCIERS OF THE RUSSIAN NORD STREAM 2 PIPELINE PROPOSAL, REQUEST THEY RECONSIDER THEIR CO-OPERATION WITH RUSSIA.
  10. The five companies listed below are the five co-financiers of the expansion project to an existing system of offshore gas pipelines in Europe. These pipelines have been opposed by both Ukraine and the United States due to growing concerns over dependence on Russian energy.

Update: As of 1 March 2022, SHELL and BP have already begun the process of removing themselves from the Nord Stream 2 proposal.

Each company's contact page can be found below:

    BASF
    ENGIE
    OMV
    SHELL
    UNIPER
